The Executive Council considered a letter received from
the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong intimating
that proposals were being made for an expansion of the work
of the University with a view to assisting in the rehabilitation
of China after the war. On the motion of the Chairman,
seconded by Dr. W. Cullen, it was resolved that the Vice-
Chancellor should be informed that the Executive Council were
alive to the importance of the policy of the extension of the
facilities contemplated at the University of Hong Kong and
assured him that any assistance which they could render the
University in promoting this policy would be willingly accorded.
